The Union Budget, 2018-19, has proposed to treat school education holistically without segmentation from pre-nursery to Class 12. Samagra Shiksha - an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12 has been, therefore, prepared with the broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. It subsumes the three schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE).

Educational Qualication

- Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary School) Qualification
Minimum Qualification:
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with atleast 50% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with atleast 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regards.
OR
Senior Secondary (Class XII Pass) with atleast 50% marks and 04 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Senior Secondary (Class XII Pass) with atleast 50% marks and 04 years B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed./B.Com. Ed.
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with atleast 50% marks and B.Ed (Special Education)
Essential-Qualification:
The candidate should have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by Central Government OR other State Govt. in the respective subject in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for purpose.

Pay Scale
- Assistant Teacher (Primary) - Rs. 22,000/- Per month
- Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary School) - Rs. 23,000/- Per month
